Nick Watts

NFU county adviser (Warwickshire)

Nick has worked for the NFU in various roles from group secretary in the Midlands region and national membership & retention adviser based at Stoneleigh.

Nick brings a wealth of experience of serving and supporting members.

Before he became the county adviser for Warwickshire, Nick was part of the National Membership Sales Team at Stoneleigh.

His background in NFU membership Sales and, before that, as a group secretary in Worcestershire has given Nick great insight into this vital role and what the NFU does for its members. Nick is passionate about spreading the word on this work to encourage those not yet in membership to join.

Nick has been in and around farming throughout his working and home life so farmers’ concerns and needs are natural interests of his, so he always ensures those are listened to and acted upon.

He gleaned much of his business acumen by running a company, employing 100 people in the aviation sector for 15 years before returning to the industry he knew best as a group secretary.

Away from work, Nick is a keen sportsman and particularly enjoys badminton, golf and taking part in organised shoots with friends.

“Warwickshire is my home county – I know the county, I know the people, I know the challenges it brings and also the work the NFU does, so this is the ideal job for me.â€
